The Yasei Swimbait/Big-bait medium rod is specially designed for big-bait specialists who prefer to use very large swimbaits. The hybrid fast action gives a little more flexibility in the middle section of the rod. This improves the action of the lure during a regular retrieve, while still having the speed to add twitches and jerks if required.Creating the perfect large swimbait fishing rod presents several challenges. Firstly, the rod needs to cast large baits over a long distance, which requires a rapide action with a powerful butt. But as swimbaits are generally cast at a constant speed, in the same way as the more common crankbaits, the rod has to absorb some of the lure's ripple to smooth the action, and it's best to do this with a softer rod. To meet the challenge, the Yasei Swimbait/Big-bait has a rapide and extended tip action, combined with a longer length of 2.40 metres. It's hard to describe, but once you've fished with it, you'll feel exactly what we mean. Designed to cast heavy baits from 120 to 170 g, with a size 300 baitcasting reel or a small round aerial reel, you'll immediately appreciate the combination of rapide tip and reduced power when you cast your lure. As you start to retrieve, you'll feel the rod's centre section absorbing the vibrations, keeping the swimbait balanced and true. Of course, you can add a few twitches if you want to mix things up, as the rod has enough action rapide to make precise movements and nets. The Yasei Jerkbait is built with a Full Carbon High Modulus blank, combined with Hi-Power X and Nano Alloy technology. This reduces blank twisting when casting and fishing, which is important when playing very big fish that put a lot of curve into the rod. The lightness of the high-quality materials also reduces the overall weight of the rod, for more enjoyable fishing, while retaining the power needed to cope with very large lures. To further improve long-distance casting and overall performance, this rod is equipped with newly designed Fuji Alconite K-type guides. In keeping with the high-quality design, a Fuji IPS reel seat is mounted on the two-piece EVA handle, giving this range a modern appearance that matches its excellent fishing performance.
