The Makra Pro Bunion GTX is perfect for demanding alpine hikes with glacier crossings, as well as summer hikes in high mountains and rocky routes. Its special fit for bunions provides more space for the metatarsophalangeal joint - ideal for mountain sports enthusiasts suffering from hallux valgus. This lightweight and robust all-terrain boot is equipped with a lightweight and waterproof GORE-TEX membrane and a durable Perwanger leather upper. For the lightweight yet particularly stable midsole, we use a combination of PU, TPU, and EVA. PU at the heel for perfect cushioning - an integrated edge for TPU studs for secure grip - and EVA at the forefoot for more precision. The Vibram® Makra outsole ensures excellent traction. Together, they make a dream team. The 'Hanwag 2 Zone Lock' with mechanical lace locking improves fit at the heel. Unlike traditional lace hooks, the mechanical lock stays fixed and cannot slip unless manually adjusted. The optimized ghilly lacing is a distinctive feature of the Makra family - it passes through textile loops all the way to the toe area. This ensures a secure fit around the front of the foot and good overall stability for a mid-height boot.
