The Emblem Surf Type R features a very slim blank with equal elements, whose reduced weight will enable anglers on surfcasting to enjoy fishing to the full. Models with a solid "hybrid" tip are equipped with a reflective tape wrap on a phosphorescent paint base to facilitate visibility when fishing at night. It is also important to note that these famous hybrid tips are fitted with a single-leg ring on the tip to increase tip response on small, wary fish and have a very pronounced action when setting the rod on its tip.
