In simple terms, the Egg Not is a squash-tail version of our mid-length board, the eGG. With the growing popularity of mid-length boards, we thought it was more or less obvious to offer a mid-length squash-tail board. The squash-tail provides a bit more surface area, extends the rail line, and has a more turning feel than a roundtail. The Egg Not is an excellent board to have in your quiver. When the swell is moderate, you can catch the wave well and glide through sections, but the board is still loose enough to turn easily. And when the swell gets a bit stronger, it still performs surprisingly well! The Egg Not has a moderate rocker at the front of the board, which enhances paddling speed, wave catching, and overall glide. The turning is slightly above average, helping to tighten your turns’ arc without losing speed. The thickness of the board is a bit too thin for a board of this size. Thinner rails help the board sink into the water and also aid in holding better in bigger waves. The fin setup is your decision here. For better glide sensations, we recommend a quad fin setup with 4 fins. If you’re looking for more cruising or traditional sensations, go for a 2 plus 1 setup.

Pre-Preg composites are cured with heat and under high pressure. Curing ensures a much greater hardening of the resin. The effects on surfboards are numerous – more precision, less waste, perfect reproduction – but the biggest advantage lies in the performance of the main factors in relation to each other: flex and strength versus weight.
